We are thrilled to welcome Shea Reyenga to our ministry staff as our new Minister of Evangelism & Teaching.
Hailing from the Hoosier State, Shea was baptized at Topeka UMC in the heart of Amish country and grew up at Trinity UMC in Elkhart with his family. Shea came to Texas to do his undergraduate work at Baylor University. He would want you to know that he fell in love with Waco long before Chip and Jo made the town a desirable stop for overpriced home goods.
It was at Baylor that Shea discerned a calling to ministry and received a bachelors degree in Religion. After graduation he enrolled at Perkins School of Theology where he received his Masters of Divinity degree.
Shea previously served as an Associate Pastor at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake. Prior to that he served as the Campus Minister at the Tarleton State University Wesley Foundation in Stephenville.
On June 17th, 2011, Shea married his wife Lindsey who grew up here locally in Grand Prairie. Shea and Lindsey were blessed to welcome their son Max William Reyenga this past October. According to Shea, “Max’s laugh can part waters, end wars, and make the sun stand still.”
Describing their excitement to be a part of First Methodist Mansfield, Shea said,
The Reyenga family is ready to plant deep roots in Mansfield and help build a community of committed followers of Jesus who contagiously represent the coming Kingdom of God.
We are blessed to welcome the Reyenga family and I am grateful for how I know our church is going to be blessed by the gifts and graces that Shea will bring to our ministerial staff.

Greetings David,
Congrats on your new pastor and his family. As an aunt to this amazing family , I know that your congregation is so very lucky to have Shea on staff.
I’ve watched these “ kids” grow and mature, living a life in the church. And now the addition of baby Max… what could be a better addition to your church.?
I’m excited to watch Shea, Lindsey, and Max grow into your church family…..
Blessings to you and yours!
