My name is David, and I am a follower of Jesus.
I serve as the Senior Pastor at First United Methodist Church in Mansfield, Texas.
In the gospel of John, Jesus says,
I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.
I trust that promise.
I believe that following Jesus is the best way to live.
Author James Bryan Smith describes this as “the good and beautiful life.”
I think most people are searching for this kind of life; a life that is good and can be described as beautiful. I believe that people deeply desire the life Jesus offers. At the same time, my experience tells me that many find themselves lost in the pursuit of it.
“Narrow is the road that leads to life,” Jesus said, “and only a few find it.”

My goal is to provide practical teaching that is relevant, inspiring and applicable to those searching for that “narrow road.” What I share here is born out of my own searching as well as my work as a pastor. I believe that my unique contribution comes from the opportunity I have to both teach and learn from the community I serve.
